Wild Rice Crumble2 cups cooked Canadian Pure Wild Rice
2 cups canned or fresh apple pie filling
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
1/4 cup raisins (optional)
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup melted margarine or butter
1/2 cup graham wafer crumbs
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a large bowl, combine rice, pie filling, sugar, lemon juice, nuts and butter. Pour into
buttered baking dish. Sprinkle crumbs over top. Bake, covered, for 30 minutes. Serve
warm with cream or ice cream over top.
*As an alternative topping, omit the crumbs and use 2 tbsp white or brown sugar mixed with
1/2 tsp cinnamon.
